NAFC Education Foundation
Announces New Executive Director
The New Albany Floyd County Education Foundation has appointed Shane Stuber as our new Executive Director! Shane will succeed Tyler Bliss, who led the Foundation with dedication for 13 years and recently transitioned to his new role as Executive Director of the Caesars Foundation of Floyd County. Shane will officially begin on Monday, December 2nd, and we look forward to his leadership in continuing our mission to enhance educational opportunities for students and teachers in Floyd County.
Shane brings a wealth of experience from his tenure as the Executive Director of the Trilogy Foundation, where he led impactful fundraising and grant-making initiatives. His proven leadership, coupled with his passion for supporting our community, positions him well to continue and expand our work in creating transformative educational opportunities for students, teachers, and schools in Floyd County.
As a committed volunteer with organizations like Southern Indiana United Soccer Club, New Albany Parks & Recreation, and the New Albany Housing Authority, Shane is deeply connected to our community and brings a strong spirit of service to our Foundation.
“I am beyond honored to be a part of an organization that is focused on teachers, students, and impact across our amazing public schools throughout Floyd County,” said Stuber.
In his new role, Shane will oversee all aspects of the Foundation’s mission—enhancing educational experiences, increasing community engagement, and securing funds that benefit our students and teachers. His background in nonprofit leadership and his strategic vision for growth have us confident that he will lead the Foundation toward even greater success.
“After an extensive search with many wonderful candidates, we are thrilled to welcome Shane to the New Albany Floyd County Education Foundation,” said Allen Platt, Board President. “We are confident Shane’s prior experiences leading a Foundation, successful fundraising, as well as his skills in developing and carrying out strategies of engagement of various stakeholders will advance the Foundation’s work to make a meaningful difference for our students.”
With Shane at the helm, we look forward to continuing our longstanding initiatives like Great Classroom Grants, Mental Health Grants, Imagination Library, and Blessings in a Backpack, ensuring that every dollar donated is used to enrich the educational landscape for NAFC students.
We look forward to the impact we can achieve together under Shane’s leadership.
