INNOVATION IN OUR SCHOOLS
A Closer Look at Great Classroom & Mental Health Grants

Each day, innovation and compassion come to life in our classrooms thanks to the generosity of donors who make Great Classroom and Mental Health Grants possible. Through the school corporation’s NAFC Success video series, you can see these inspiring projects in action and hear directly from the teachers and students they impact.

At Floyds Knobs Elementary, a Mental Health Grant transformed an underused courtyard into a vibrant outdoor classroom where students can learn, explore, and recharge in nature. The space has quickly become a favorite spot for both lessons and mindfulness breaks.

At New Albany High School, a Great Classroom Grant made it possible for biology students to study genetics and evolution through a hands-on Finch Project by observing traits, behaviors, and even hatching baby finches. The experience bridges classroom learning with real-world science in a way textbooks can’t.
