NAFC Education Foundation Announces Search for New Executive Director
We want to share this important news with our most valued supporters. After more than 13 years of leadership, Tyler Bliss, Executive Director of the New Albany Floyd County Education Foundation, will be stepping down from his role. During his tenure, Tyler led the foundation in vastly expanding fundraising and programmatic impact, launching an alumni program, and securing new funding for mental health support within NAFC Schools.
Board President Allen Platt reflected on Tyler’s tenure, saying, “Tyler has done an amazing job during his time with the foundation, building an organization with an excellent public reputation that is financially secure, professional, and effective in serving the students, teachers, and schools of our great system. He has positioned the foundation to continue growing its important work under its next leader.”
As we move forward, we are seeking a new Executive Director to build on the momentum established since its inception in 2005. To date, with your generosity and support, the foundation has raised over $8,000,000 from corporate sponsors, grants, and individual donors for the benefit of teachers and students in the NAFC Schools. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in nonprofit leadership and fundraising, with a particular focus on major gifts and endowment building. Strong leadership skills, a commitment to donor relations, and a passion for public education are essential qualities for this role.
We will keep you updated on the search for our next Executive Director, and in the meantime, if you know of anyone who would be a perfect fit for this role, please encourage them to visit www.nafcedfoundation.org/executive-director-search to learn more.
Thank you for your continued support and dedication to our cause. Together, we will keep making a difference for the NAFC community.
